Frequently Asked Questions about Surgical Supplies

Here are some helpful answers to frequently ask questions.

AMG has former hospital purchasing and supply chain experts on staff who understand the challenges of shopping for surgical supplies. We will save you time, money and connect you to more vendors while also working to purchase in the lowest unit of measure. Buying Surgical Supplies

What are the typical savings when shopping through AMG Equipment?
You can expect to save between 40%-50% off OEM pricing.

Are all of your surgical supplies in-date and in original packaging?
All supplies sold by AMG are in-date and in their original OEM packaging.

Why are there multiple listings for the same item number?
If there is more than one listing for an item, then we have multiple in stock with varying expiration dates.

Do you have a minimum order amount?
No, you are able to purchase as much or as little as you need. Each item lists the quantity we currently have available for purchase.

What are the shipping and handling costs?
We offer free standard shipping on all orders within the United States. Standard shipping is 3-5 business days. We also offer several expedited shipping options:
3 day express $7.00
2 day express $10.00
Standard overnight $20.00
Priority overnight $30.00

For items shipping outside of the United States, shipping costs will vary. We will contact you with the cost before shipping your order.

When will my order ship?
For ground shipping, orders placed by 2:00 pm CST Monday-Friday are processed and shipped the same day. For same day express shipping, orders must be placed by 1:30 pm CST.  There will be an extra freight charge for expedited orders.

Do you ship outside the United States?
Yes, we offer shipping worldwide. International orders are subject to additional shipping charges. We will contact you with the cost before shipping your order.

How do I place an order?
Simply browse our inventory by keyword, manufacturer or reference number and add any items to your shopping cart. When you are ready to checkout simply click on your Cart in green at the top of the page. You will see products in your cart and have the option to check out as a guest or login to your account. If you would like to register for an account you can do so on the Cart page.

Follow the steps set to finalize your purchase. We will contact you if additional information is needed after checkout. Please note that your order will not be shipped until we have the appropriate documentation on file. Any questions please contact us at 800-277-5852.

What is your return policy?
Products may be returned within 15 days for a full refund (less shipping charges) if you are dissatisfied in any way, a restocking fee of 10% will apply.

Should you need to make a return, please email us at customerservice@amgequipment.com and we will provide you with instructions for the return or exchange.

Selling Surgical Supplies

How do I sell supplies to AMG?
Simply fill out our inventory template and send it to our Acquisition team at customerservice@amgequipment.com. We will review your list and provide you with an offer allowing you to recuperate funds for your facility. Once the offer is accepted, you can pack up the supplies and a shipping label will be provided to you.

Who covers shipping costs?
AMG will cover all of the shipping costs.

How long does it take to receive payment?
We provide payment on terms of Net 15 after receipt and inspection. Inspection is done within (5) days of receiving the products.

What types of supplies does AMG buy?
We buy and sell products across multiple categories including: Endo, Energy, ENT, Gastric, GYN/Urology, Hernia, Robotics, Ortho/Sports Medicine, Suture and Wound. We also take products from most major brands, we’re specifically looking for the following:
→  Capital Equipment (we can offer a higher value than trade in)
→  Bard-Davol
→  Covidien
→  Ethicon
→  Applied
→  Covidien
→  MESH
→  OTHO

Is there a minimum or maximum amount of product I can sell to AMG?
As long as it meets our qualifications we will take as much or as little products as you can sell us. We generally look for items that have a 12 month or longer expiration date, but we can evaluate your product list even if it is within 12 months of expiring.

Can I sell AMG expired products?
Unfortunately we only accept in date products.
